Maitani is designed for Olympus and OM System photographers. Support depends on the operation, as well as the camera model and firmware. A camera appearing in a family below is not a guarantee that every remote feature is available.
Reading styles from photographs
Open an original camera JPEG to inspect the processing settings stored in its metadata. Supported MakerNote fields can include picture mode, white balance, tone settings, Color Creator, and color or monochrome profiles. Metadata availability varies by model. Photos exported by another editor or social platform may have these fields removed.
Connecting over Wi-Fi
Camera browsing, photo download, remote shooting, and settings access use compatible camera Wi-Fi interfaces. Their availability varies with camera mode and firmware. Follow the connection instructions in the app and keep the camera’s Wi-Fi session active.
Color profiles and recipe transfer
The OM-3’s basic Wi-Fi property interface does not expose its color-profile settings. Those settings must be entered on the camera or loaded with OM Workspace using a compatible .oes file. Other transfer workflows depend on the camera and recipe type. Maitani does not promise one-click wireless transfer of every recipe to every camera.
Camera families
The app is designed around OM System and Olympus workflows, including OM-1, OM-3, OM-5, OM-D, and PEN families. A verified model-by-model feature matrix will be published as device testing is completed. Check the app’s available controls for your connected camera.
Previewing a look
Maitani’s local previews are interpretations of camera processing. Some color and art-filter effects are not calibrated to match the camera exactly. Use a photograph rendered by your camera to judge the final look.
Your Apple devices
The current app project targets iOS and iPadOS 18.6 or later and macOS 15.6 or later. Check the App Store listing for the requirements of the released version.
